The Wine Cellar of Il San Pietro

Where Tradition Meets Discovery

At Il San Pietro restaurant, the wine cellar is not merely a collection of bottles, but an ever-evolving travel diary. Our selection is born from a deep passion for wine as the purest expression of territory and human craftsmanship.

The Olympus of Piedmont:

Between History and Prestige Our wine list pays tribute to the pillars of Piedmontese winemaking, offering guests the opportunity to taste the labels that have shaped the history of Langhe and Roero. We carefully preserve the absolute elegance of Bruno Giacosa and the revolutionary vision of Gaja; the impeccable structure of the wines of Pio Cesare and the finesse of the crus by Renato Ratti and Cordero di Montezemolo. From the majesty of Barolo by Domenico Clerico and Oddero, to the technical precision of Elio Grasso, every sip tells the story of Nebbiolo’s aristocracy.

Beyond the Labels: Our Mission of Research

Alongside the great names that have made Italy famous around the world, the beating heart of our cellar belongs to small producers. We are convinced that true excellence is often found far from the most established commercial circuits, in those vineyards where quality is a daily and uncompromising choice. Our commitment is both a physical and sensory journey: we personally visit the wineries, walk through the rows of vines, and descend into small family cellars to meet the men and women behind every label. Only through this direct contact do we select wines of the highest quality, capable of moving and surprising.

The Hidden Gems to Discover

It is through this search that we have discovered extraordinary producers such as Vigneti Repetto, with the vibrant character of its Timorasso, and the originality of the I Parcellari project.

We love introducing the dedication of producers such as Michele Taliano, the authenticity of Ca' del Baio and the Sordo Family, and the freshness of Alta Langa wines by Attilio Pecchenino and Dogliotti.

Every bottle we bring to your table has been chosen not because it is famous, but because it told us a unique story during our visits to the vineyards. Choosing a wine from our list means allowing yourself to be guided on a journey of discovery, where the certainty of great classics coexists with the wonder of a small treasure selected especially for you.
